Stapedectomy is a type of surgery, which is performed in the middle ear. There are small bones which are extremely important when it comes to reflecting sound in the ear. These are malleus, incus and stapes. If stapes is damaged or harmed in some way, then Stapedectomy is performed to set everything right. Stapes can be damaged primarily due to two diseases. These include Otosclerosis and the other one is congenital malformation.
Ostosclerosis is a disease that is hereditary. It is the growth of an extra bone on and around the Stapes.
OVERVIEW OF THE SURGERY:
Stapedectomy is very different from Stapedectomy. The former is preferred over the latter and has a higher success rate as well.
This is a very safe surgery, but it’s highly dependent on the doctor skill. It helps in improving hearing loss and is better than most other surgeries.

I used to have headaches almost every alternate days and it took heavy toll on my health. I also had issues with my hearing (there was a moderate hearing loss noted) and I was really depressed with this.
I was suffering from sleep apnea and had tried the traditional method of CPAP without any meaningful improvement. It was also very inconvenient and embarassing to carry it around for business travel, holidays etc.
